God Loves a Challenge
post date: May 24, 2009An Anchor for the Soul. During the meal he had engaged the waitress in a conversation about spiritual matters. She seemed intrigued when she learned about our name– Keep Believing Ministries. So I signed the book and Skip left it on the table along with a generous tip. That’s when Skip told me the rest of the story. “I’m praying for a million people to come to Christ as a result of that book.” Since Skip often gives out copies of Anchor, I thought he meant he was praying for a million people to come to Christ as a result of all the books he gives out. That alone would be amazing.“I’m praying for God to bring one million people into the Kingdom as a result of each book I give away.” When I looked surprised, he had a simple explanation.“God loves a challenge.”
“I’ll never know the end result of each book,” he added, “but I’m asking God to multiply the impact far beyond anything I can see. I’m looking forward to meeting multitudes in heaven, people I never met on earth who came to Christ through the testimony of those who read the book, trusted Christ and told others who told others.”I think God is pleased when we dare to ask him for Kingdom goals that seem humanly impossible.
“Open your mouth wide and I will fill it” (Psalm 81:10 HCSB).
“For nothing is impossible with God” (Luke 1:37 NIV).
“God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams!” (Ephesians 3:20 MSG).When you pray, pray prayers so big that you’ll have to go to heaven to see the answers.
