Welcome, KLFC Listeners
October 23, 2007
This morning I did an interview with Charlie Engram & Keith O’Neil on KLFC in Branson, Missouri. The program is called “Good Morning, Ozarks.” We were talking about my book Stealth Attack. We started by discussing spiritual warfare in an age of terror and the importance of Christians being ready for the attacks of the enemy. I think more than any other interview for the book, this one emphasized the victory we have in Jesus Christ. That’s an important point that sometimes gets lots in the discussion.
We talked a lot about the four major ways the devil attacks us: fear, anger, doubt, discouragement. Each one builds on the other. Fear leads to anger, anger leads to doubt, and doubt results in discouragement. And when Satan gets a Christian discouraged, he’s already won because a discouraged Christian puts down his weapons and walks off the battlefield.
At the end of the interview, Charlie and Keith asked me who I was pulling for in the World Series. Well, the truth is, after the Cubs were knocked out by Arizona, I didn’t follow the playoffs very much. But I said Boston–without much conviction. Charlie and Keith said they follow the Cardinals (National League) so they are pulling for the Rockies. Then we commiserated about college football. I pull for the Ole Miss Rebels–it’s part of our family tradition. One of them supports Nebraska and the other said he cheers for Purdue. The Rebels and the Cornhuskers are having tough seasons. Purdue is doing pretty well so far. And they said I need to visit Branson someday, which I would love to do. Never been there.
