“We Make It Because You Do!”

July 9, 2010

This morning I found this very encouraging comment on the weblog. It sums up why we call our ministry “Keep Believing.” And it emphasizes that we all have to help each other out. Sometimes your faith will be stronger than mine, and I’ll need your faith to help me stay strong. Sometimes my faith may be stronger, and you can “borrow” some of mine. That’s how the body of Christ is supposed to work.

I love to see you on Facebook. You are a REAL pastor…one of us!! You love to eat at Connie’s. (We do, too) You are honest and tell us your doubts and fears, but you always lead us back to faith. Just yesterday I was depending on your faith, as you told us we could do. (There was a woman who was giving up, and you told her if she couldn’t have faith to let you believe for her until she was stronger. I believe she said, “Why I can do that!!” You are a hand reaching across the miles to lift all of us up! Most pastors would say, “Why I nevah get on Facebook. The Internet is the Antichrist!” you show us how to use it for the glory of God. We love you, Marlene, Dudley, and Gary. (They need their own blogs!) Thank you for all your hard work, grueling schedule, and also for keeping that smile on your face. We can make it because you do!

PS I tried to get a picture of Gary and Dudley, our two fine basset hounds, but Gary suspected something was up and wouldn’t stay still long enough. He moved five feet away and starting howling.
