Abraham had two sons

Joseph was sold into slavery in the land of Egypt

Rises to prominence

His family follows

Joseph kicks the bucket

Things go downhill

Period of 400 years

Children of Israel end up in bondage

In Exodus Chapter 1 God raises up a mighty new deliverer–Moses (Exodus)

Goes before Pharaoh

“Let my people go.”

“No!”

So God sent the Ten Plagues

Last one is the death of the firstborn–The Passover

Children of Israel cross the Red Sea–The Exodus

Make a Sharp Right Turn

Come to Mount Sinai where God gives the Law (Leviticus)

And the plans for the Tabernacle

Leave Mount Sinai where they come to Kadesh-Barnea (Numbers)

Send out 12 spies

Joshua and Caleb

So they wander in the wilderness for 40 years

Generation dies

Eat manna and quail

Come to the top of the Dead Sea

Moses preaches three long sermons and he kicks the bucket (Deuteronomy)
