Two Terrific Bible Apps
March 2, 2011
If have an iPhone or an Android, here are two highly recommended Bible apps. Both are free:
YouVersion This app was put together by LifeChurch.TV. Besides offering a huge selection of Bible versions, it has the largest collection of Bible reading plans I’ve ever seen. Clearly the people who put this app together want you to read your Bible. They even a feature for you to record your notes and also to read the notes of others who use the app.
Bible.is This app is sponsored by the folks at Faith Comes by Hearing. Besides containing many different versions of the Bible, it has the unique feature of allowing you to listen to the Bible being read in many different languages. For instance, you can set it so that as you read 1 Corinthians 9 on your smartphone, you can listen to the same chapter being read out loud.
You can’t go wrong with either app since both are free. If you don’t have a Bible app on your smartphone, check out Bible.is and YouVersion. That way you can read (or listen to) the Word of God no matter where you are.
