Two From Havre

January 12, 2008

Jenny and Dan, Marlene and Ray
The two in the middle were born
in the same hospital in Havre, Montana.

When Marlene spoke to the women, she told them she was born in Montana. The next day Dan Strebig asked her where in Montana she was from. When Marlene said she was born in Havre, he replied, “I was too. In Deaconess Hospital.” “I was born there too,” Marlene said.

But the best was yet to come. While they were comparing notes on people they might know, Dan asked Marlene if she knew a Mrs. Suckow. Yes, she knew her. Mrs. Suckow was her grandmother. It was a happy, happy moment when Marlene met someone whose family had known her grandmother. Over the years Marlene has spoken many times of how much her grandmother meant to her when she was growing up.

It’s a small world, and it’s God’s world, and he knows how to bring two folks from Havre, Montana together at a missionary conference in Bolivia.
