Trivia Time Q &A
April 30, 2010
We had a great program, with lots of good questions, a few good answers, and lots of laughter. Judging from the constant stream of phone calls, I think many AFR listeners look forward to “Trivia Time” each week.
Here are the questions I prepared for today. I didn’t get a chance to ask all of them on the program so I thought I would post them here and let you take a crack at them.
1. In terms of land mass, what is the largest US state east of the Mississippi River?
2. Whose face is on the $5000 bill?
3. What 3 weapons was the Philistine giant Goliath carrying when he was slain by David?
4. Who was the only bachelor president?
5. Maxwell Air Force Base is located in Montgomery, AL. The base is built on the site of one of the world’s first flying schools established by what two brothers in 1910?
6. Jinja, Uganda is the source of what great river?
7. On April 30, 1900 one of the most famous train wrecks in American history took place in Vaughan, Mississippi. Who was the engineer on the Cannonball Express that night? Hint: He was immortalized in song by Pete Seeger, Johnny Cash, and the New Christy Minstrels.
8. What is the location for Jesus’ first miracle?
9. According to Proverbs 27:1, what are we not to boast about?
