Steve Tanner’s 25 Days of Christmas Music

December 1, 2011

For eleven years my good friend Steve Tanner has been sponsoring the 25 Days of Christmas Music. Starting on December 1, he gives away a free Christmas song each day, ending on December 25. This year’s theme is “Navidaddy,” which means that each song references babies or children in the title. You’ll have to read the rest of the intro to discover the real meaning of that word.

I don’t know exactly how he does it or where he finds the various songs, but each year he offers this free musical gift to folks who visit his website. As an additional bonus, you can download all the songs he has offered from 2001-2010. That’s a total of over 275 Christmas songs offering 15.7 hours of listening pleasure.

Best of all, it’s all free!

I’m glad Steve offers the rest of us this gift of Christmas music each year. Just go to the 25 Days of Christmas Music and you can download the first free song today.

For ten years my good friend Steve Tanner has been sponsoring the 25 Days of Christmas Music. Starting on December 1, he gives away a free Christmas song each day, ending on December 25. This year’s theme is “Culinary Christmas,” which means that each song references food or drink in the lyrics.

I don’t know exactly how he does it or where he finds the various songs, but each year he offers this free musical gift to folks who visit his website. As an additional bonus, you can download all the songs he has offered from 2001-2009. That’s a total of over 275 Christmas songs offering 14.4 hours of listening pleasure.

I’m glad Steve offers the rest of us this gift of Christmas music each year. Just go to the 25 Days of Christmas Music and you can start your “Culinary Christmas” celebration today.

Steve Tanner’s 25 Days of Christmas Music

December 1, 2008

My good friend Steve Tanner reminded me that once again he is sponsoring 25 Days of Christmas Music leading up to Christmas Day. Here is his explanation:

Starting December 1 through December 25, I’ll be posting new music each day that you can download, no strings attached. It’s all FREE, FREE, FREE! Songs will be in MP3 format – so you can listen via any media player or your iPod. It’s just like an audio advent calendar, except that you won’t have to fight with your dumb sister over who gets to open the next little door!

And the Theme is…
With economic times difficult, cutbacks abounding, and our financial system in the toilet, you’d expect the same from me, right? No sir! Here at Steve’s 25 Days of Christmas Music, we’re not only going to give you a free song to download each day… we’re going to give you 2 songs each day. That’s 50 songs in 25 days!

Welcome to our Dueling December Ditties. Each day until Christmas I’ll post two versions of the same song as part of a music duel. You are welcome to download each, then vote and comment regarding which version of the song you liked better!

Steve has also put the archives from 2001-2007 online. When combined with this year’s songs, that equals almost 12 hours of Christmas music, all free for downloading. I love this idea, I’m glad Steve is doing it, and I hope many of you will visit his site each day between now and December 25.

Steve Tanner’s 25 Days of Christmas Music

November 29, 2006

Check out Steve Tanner’s 25 Days of Christmas Music. Here is his explanation:

Starting December 1 through December 25, I’ll be posting a new song each day that you can download, no strings attached. It’s all FREE, FREE, FREE! Songs will be in MP3 format – so you can listen via any media player or your iPod. It’s just like an audio advent calendar.
For 2006 I’ve decided the theme will be Under the Tree, A to Z. What’s that mean? Each day, we’ll feature a letter from the alphabet, A to Z, in order. Each song title will start with that day’s selected letter (and yes, I do have songs for every one of them!) We’ll be covering many eras of Christmas music, resulting in some interesting selections ranging from stuff released in 1949 up through today. I think you are in for a diverse treat!

You can also check our his archives from 2001-2005, providing a total of almost 8 hours of listening pleasure.
