Sermons at Sierra Bible Church

October 11, 2006

I am writing this note late on Tuesday night after the final service of the Bible conference at Sierra Bible Church in Reno, Nevada. God met us in an unusual way during these days. I think it would be the unanimous sense of the congregation that this was far more than a Bible conference. It was a time in which the Lord revealed himself in a deep way in many hearts, including my own. Tonight after I finished my final message, Pastor Greg Kuehn thanked Marlene and me for coming and said some very kind things about our ministry. Then he asked everyone whose heart had been touched to come to the front of the church and pray for us. It was an awesome, overwhelming moment to see everyone present come forward, many with tears of gratitude to the Lord. We leave profoundly thankful for the invitation and with the feeling that we were not visitors but truly became part of the church family. I hope we can visit Reno again sometime in the future.
Here are the five messages I preached during the conference:
Sunday 8:30 AM What Is God’s Answer to My Discouragement?
Sunday 11 AM: If I Believe, Why Do I Doubt?
Sunday Night: Praying for Your Prodigal
Monday Night: The Invisible Hand: Coming to Grips With God’s Providence
Tuesday Night: God’s Freedom
