Saved When She Was 93

August 3, 2012

Here’s a story that illustrates the truth that we “should always pray and not give up” (Luke 18:1). Several years ago a woman asked me to pray that her aged mother would come to Christ. We prayed together and went our separate ways. I hadn’t thought about that prayer until I received an email yesterday:

 Hi Ray,

A few years ago at a seminar I asked you to pray for my aging parent, you and I prayed together that she would meet Jesus as her personal Lord and Saviour. Thank you for praying for her.

On February 14 my 93 and half year old mother met Jesus as her Lord and Saviour. What a joy to know that when she departs from this world she will meet her Saviour in Heaven.

Grateful,

Let this be an encouragement to you to keep on praying, especially when you are praying for a loved one to come to Christ.

No one is beyond the reach of God’s love, not even at the age of 93. So keep on praying and keep believing. Your prayers, even the ones you may forget, are part of God’s plan to bring people to Jesus.
