Report from the Road

Word of Life
Pottersville, NY

We have finished week two of our three-week swing. First week at Maranatha Bible and Missionary Conference in Muskegon, Michigan, second week at Word of Life Pines. Tonight the third week starts. I’m speaking Monday-Thursday to the teens at Word of Life Ridge/Island. We’re expecting 450 teens and leaders this week.

We had tremendous weeks at Maranatha and at the Pines. Saw tons of people, gave away booklets, wristbands, “Jesus in the Boat” cards, and had lots of sign-ups for the sermon list.

Last Wednesday I recorded two hour-long videos for a brand-new homeschool curriculum from Word of Life Bible Institute. I did an hour on Galatians and an hour on James. The BI plans to offer a New Testament survey course with videos on each of the 27 NT books. I think it will be a huge help to homeschooling families.

Tonight we’re meeting with the Celebrate Recovery group at the Mountainside Bible Chapel in Schroon Lake. That’s a church a lot of Word of Life folks attend along with many local people. My friend Pastor David Peterson told me that they have used An Anchor for the Soul extensively in their CR group. Marlene and I will attend a cookout at 5 PM, then we’ll do a Q&A with the group. Excited about this opportunity.

We’re glad to be able to travel again after being grounded for most of 2020. It’s good to be together, and it’s great to see people’s faces again.

We’ve met lots of old friends, and we’ve made quite a few new friends. That’s a huge part of why we spend time on the road.

God willing, we fly back to Kansas City on Thursday afternoon.

Thank you for your prayers!

Ray
