1) Last night we started the Bible conference in Indio. Wow! What a service we had. A combination of a camp meeting, county fair, and a revival service. I think we’re going to have a great week. I hope to post some pictures by the end of the week.

3) Speaking of emails that make you smile, I received a note from a friend who has decided to become a monthly supporter of Keep Believing Ministries. Here is how he explained his decision:

I’m glad our financial contribution helps. Sometimes it’s difficult to know exactly where God wants His money spent. We have tithed for many years, and take stewardship very seriously. Partnering with you is an easy decision, and it’s great to see God confirming your ministry through the various projects I read about every week. It blesses us to bless KBM.

Don’t forget that you can support this ministry through the online giving option.

4) Eli!

5) Can the Giants beat the Patriots? That’s what I’m hoping for.

6) Never eat Chinese food an hour before you preach. Just another lesson learned on the road.

7) Speaking of food, one nice thing about being in Indio is that there is an In-N-Out Burger place about three blocks from our motel. I sure wish they had them back East. The best way is to order your burgers “animal style.”

8) Last night after I preached on holding lightly what you value greatly, an older gentleman came up and said that he appreciated what I said because he struggles in that area. Then he said, “My problem is, I keep opening my hand and giving things to the Lord, and then the next day I take those things back again.” True for all of us, I think.
