Q&A with John Piper at Angola Prison

January 11, 2010

In November John Piper visited Angola Prison in Louisiana. Long considered one of the most violent prisons in America, it has been transformed in recent years under the leadership of Warden Burl Cain. His motto is, “I will be as nice as they let me, as mean as they make me be.” You can read more about what God is doing at Angola Prison in the book Cain’s Redemption

After John Piper preached to some of the inmates, he then led a Q&A session with them. I think you’ll appreciate both the honest questions by the prisoners and Piper’s wise and compassionate responses.

As a PS, several years ago on Easter Sunday we distributed 5000 copies of An Anchor for the Soul  at Angola when Chuck Colson spoke at the prison.
