Prayer for a Prodigal Husband

Heavenly Father, we come to you, O Lord, because you are Almighty God and nothing is too hard for you. We come because you are the maker of heaven and earth, and you hold each of us in your hand. We come because you have told us we can come, and in Jesus Christ the way is now open to pour out our hearts to you.

Father, my friend has wandered far away from you and away from his family. He has made choices that have put him in a bad place. Tonight his vision is blurry and his heart is clouded and he cannot see what he has done. Lord, please send your Holy Spirit to wake him up. Save him from making a life-destroying decision. Touch him, convict him, bring him to the place where he will return to you.

And I pray for his dear wife that in these dark days her faith would not fail but she might continue to trust in you. Help her to keep believing and to keep on praying. Do whatever it takes to wake my friend up and bring him back home to you. Thank you for hearing this prayer. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
