Photos from the Moody Spokane Retreat

September 14, 2008

Here are a few photos from the Moody Bible Institute Spokane Fall Retreat. Nearly 275 of us (students, faculty and family members) gathered at a beautiful conference center called Clearwater Lodge, about an hour north of Spokane. We all enjoyed the music of Elizabeth Hunnicutt who came from Minneapolis to lead worship. Because our group was so large, we ended up meeting in an outdoor amphitheater overlooking the lake. Last night it was cold, this morning it was chilly, this afternoon it was hot.

We stayed at beautiful Clearwater Lodge this weekend.
Here’s a view of the outdoor amphitheater by the lake.
The temperature drops 40 degrees at night. This morning we were all bundled up.
These two guys came prepared for the chilly weather this morning.
Things were hot and sunny for the afternoon session.
I enjoyed spending time Daniel and Cherise Ward and their daughter Hannah.

Moody Spokane is growing so fast that they will max out their enrollment in another couple of years. Daniel Ward told me they hope to buy land for their own campus somday. Right now they lease space from a local church. When I noted that things seem more laid-back than the Chicago campus, Daniel laughed and said that everyone says that. They are doing great things here, and I highly recommend Moody Spokane to anyone considering fulltime Christian service.
