Next Stop: Maine

August 9, 2008

My travel schedule this summer has taken me from coast to coast.

I’m on the road again, this time heading north, far north, all the way to Maine. I’m going about as far north and east as you can go and still be in the United States. I’m heading for Danforth, Maine where I will be speaking at Living Water Bible Camp this week. This is my third visit to Living Waters, and I am always happy to go because the people are extremely friendly and Maine is quite simply an incredibly beautiful state.

To get to the camp I’m flying from Memphis to Detroit to Bangor where someone will pick me up for the two-and-a-half hour drive to the camp, which is located on the border of Maine and New Brunswick. Let’s put it this way. The camp is on a lake. On this side of the lake, you are in the US. On the other side, you are in Canada.

Just for the fun of it, I made a map of the various places I’ve been this summer. The colors represent different trips—red first, blue second, green third, and black last. It’s a lot of traveling, and I’ve enjoyed ministering in many different places and making new friends along the way. God willing, I’ll be back home in Tupelo late next Friday night.
