New Scripture Pop-Up Program

March 5, 2010

Derek Taylor, the KBM webmaster, has just installed a program on our website that turns all Scripture references into hyperlinks with a “hover” window that contains the complete verse.

Simply put your cursor over any Bible reference (it also puts them in bold) and watch what happens!

Try it out in the paragraph below.

Lately I’ve been meditating on 2 Corinthians 3:17 and Deuteronomy 4:32. The KBM ministry verse is Romans 15:13.  I am glad that Romans 8:1 is in the Bible. In a few days I’ll be preaching on Jeremiah 29:7 and Hebrews 11:32. And I love to read Psalm 128:6.

We’ve set the program to show the verses in NIV (New International Version). However, you can use the Bible Reference Tool on the bottom right portion of the sermon index page to change the default to another English translation if you prefer. Once you change it, your computer will remember that version. And you can change it again later if you like.

This works with all every Scripture reference on our entire website.

The program is called RefTagger and is powered by Logos Bible Software.

Special thanks to Brian Bill for letting us know about this. It’s a wonderful way to check out what a verse says without having to open up a new page on the website.
