New Dudley Pictures

It’s been a while since I posted any pictures of Dudley, the basset hound that joined our family last Christmas Eve. In another week or so, we will celebrate his first birthday. He’s the best dog we’ve ever had, keeping in mind that like all bassets he loves to sniff and dig and get dirty. Last week he stayed with Jake (Alan’s chocolate lab) and together (but mostly it was Dudley) they dug up the cable TV line in the backyard. When Alan buried it under come concrete blocks, Jake and Dudley (again, mostly Dudley) managed to move the blocks and dig up the line again. As Alan said, it’s hard to be mad at Dudley because digging up stuff is what basset hounds do. Plus he barks when he sees us, comes running, and then jumps up on the coach and flops on Marlene’s lap while we watch TV. How can you not love a dog like that?
