My New Biking Jersey

Several months ago I received a nice note from my good friend Brian Choate. He and his wife Melodi relocated from Chicago to Las Vegas. Brian does a lot of street evangelism on the Strip, talking to anyone who will listen. When he learned that I like to ride my bike, he offered to send me a biking jersey from the International Christian Biking Club. I should say right up front that the members of the club are many notches above me in terms of the miles they ride and the seriousness with which they take their biking. But biking is biking, whether you ride ten miles along the Natchez Trace or 75 miles through Marin County in California.

This evening Vanessa ate dinner with us while waiting to pick up Mark from work. She snapped this picture of me wearing my new biking jersey. I’m holding Parker, Mark and Vanessa’s one-year-old Maltese.
