Message from a Chaplain

February 6, 2014

Dear Praying Friends,

Two days ago we received an encouraging message from a US Army chaplain:

I wanted you to know that 2 weeks ago I was preparing a sermon on Finishing Well and I came across your sermon on that topic and used your text and quoted from it. This message was well received and people are still talking about Finishing Well and in all transparency I shared that I had borrowed the info from your sermon. Wanted you to be encouraged that your message is still impacting God’s people.

Would you join us in praying for this chaplain who serves the men and women of our Armed Forces? We’re continually amazed at how God uses the sermons on the Keep Believing website to help pastors, chaplains, and other Christian workers around the world.

This week Ray is in upstate New York teaching Galatians at Word of Bible Institute. It’s always one of his favorite weeks of the year. Pray for him that God will use his teaching to encourage the 300 young people in his class.

On a personal note, our family is scattered at the moment. Josh and Leah (and Knox and Violet) are in Wheaton, IL for their final round of missionary prep with TEAM. God willing, they will head to Asia later this year. This weekend Mark and Vanessa (and Penny) will be visiting a church in northern California. While they are away, Eli will stay with us so we will no doubt have a fun weekend taking care of that very active 2-year-old!

Would you also pray for the new Lenten devotional guide that will be released later this month? This year we’re focusing on the names of Christ as we journey with Jesus to the cross and the empty tomb.

Thank you for praying for us, for our family, and for Keep Believing Ministries.

Please let us know how you are doing. We love hearing from you.

God bless you!

Ray and Marlene
