Derek Taylor, our gifted web designer, just sent around a report showing that since we launched the new Keep Believing website on March 8, we have had visitors from 162 countries. Here are the top 15 countries in terms of visitors:

The list goes on and on from there. I note that we’ve had eight visitors from Antigua and Barbuda, seven from Estonia, six from Lithuania, five from Iraq, four from the Seychelles, three from Congo–Brazzaville, two from Cameroon, and one each from Iran, Tunisia, Niue, Kiribati, Iceland, French Polynesia, Gambia, Saint Helena and Bangladesh. I had never heard of Niue. It turns out to be an island sometimes called the “Rock of Polynesia.” It is a constitutional monarchy in close association with New Zealand. It has a population of 1,679, which impressed me because one of those 1,679 people found their way to the Keep Believing website. If you ever want to call Niue, the country code is 683.

As I study the top 15 countries, I am struck by the the fact that eight of them come from Asia and Oceania. Derek made the following observation:

One interesting number that catches my eye is the Philippines, where we have had nearly 1,000 visitors in the last 6 weeks or so. Four times larger than China (which I’m sure has more to do with the language barrier than anything). Maybe we should be praying for a contact to emerge from the Philippines.

We like to say that the Internet levels the playing field and helps create a “flat world” for ministry. These early results back up that insight. Through the Internet we can truly reach the ends of the earth.
