J. C. Ryle’s “Expository Thoughts” Now Available in Ebook Format

September 20, 2011

For many years I’ve turned to J. C. Ryle’s Expository Thoughts on the Gospels when I wanted to study a text from the gospels. Ryle, an evangelical Anglican who served in the late 1800s in Great Britain, had an uncanny ability to get to the heart of each passage. More than that, he knew how to find the “preachable truths” that touch life.

For many years finding a printed set of the four-volume “Expository Thoughts” would cost you from $30-60, if you could even find a set to purchase. Recently the four-volume set has been released in ebook format for only $4.99. It is available in iBook, Kindle or Nook formats. And it is also available in the Logos Personal Book Format (PBB). This allows the buyer to install their book directly into their Logos 4 installation as a fully linked and searchable resource, at a significant discount to official Logos pricing.

This particular version is fully formatted and linked for easy navigation. If you are preaching on a passage from Matthew, Mark, Luke or John, you need to make J.C. Ryle’s Expository Thoughts part of your sermon preparation.
