“I’ve Been a Sinner Most of My Life”

August 26, 2021

An inmate named Joey wrote from a California prison to thank us for  An Anchor for the Soul. Here’s part of what he said:

“I’ve been a sinner for most of my life. I’ve been in and out of prison since I was 19 years old. I am now 48 doing a 45 year sentence”

“I’ve lost my family and hit rock bottom. Someone gave me your book. It brought me to tears.”

Joey called himself a “starving soul” on a journey of faith. He ended with these words:

“Thank you for bringing me to Christ.”

Notes like this remind us that prison walls can’t keep out the Holy Spirit. Please join me in praying for Joey and countless other men and women behind bars who are coming to saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

We don’t know how copies of Anchor found their way into Joey’s prison. We’re grateful for many ministry partners across America who use Anchor to reach the lost.

Thanks for your prayers, your gifts, and your support!

Ray
