“I Let My Cell-Mate Read Your Book”

Prisoner Letter-002
Dear Praying Friends,
Yesterday we received a letter from a prisoner in West Virginia who told us a wonderful story. He had received a copy of An Anchor for the Soul as a reward for completing “Great Truths of the Bible,” a 52-lesson course from Crossroad Bible Institute.First he read the book on his own.
Here’s what happened next in his own words:

I let my cell-mate read your book and he said that he sincerely prayed the prayer and asked Christ to save him. I then took him through the Bible and explained to him our need for Christ and how we can’t save ourselves no matter how good we are. I used your book to assist God in saving a lost soul.

Think about all the links in that chain: the folks at Moody who published Anchor, our friends who donated to print the book, the folks at Crossroad Bible Institute who gave Anchor as a reward for finishing the course. And the final link being the prisoner who cared enough about his cell-mate to give him the book and then explain the Good News to him.

We understand that Keep Believing Ministries is one link in a long chain that makes up God’s purpose on the earth. And you who pray with us and for us are a link in that chain. As a result of all those links being brought together by the Holy Spirit, there are two prisoners who are now brothers in Christ.

Recently we sent books to Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Maryland.
Soon we will send them to Alaska.

Thank you for giving and praying so that we can continue to reach people who need Jesus.

Please pray for us as we finish several major projects this month. Ray is working on a brand-new Advent ebook called “Why He Came,” and he is also working on a project involving Bible prophecy and current events. Marlene is updating our database of names and addresses (a never-ending process!) so that we can stay in better touch with those who love us and pray for us and give to this ministry.

Thank you for being part of the Keep Believing Prayer Team. Let us know how you are doing and how we can pray for you.

God bless you!

Ray and Marlene
