How to Preach on Predestination

Few doctrines stir up as much controversy as the doctrine of predestination. It’s easy to spend time in the pulpit arguing instead of encouraging the flock of God. Last Sunday Phil Newton preached a fine sermon on Romans 8:28-30 called God, The Christian, and His Purpose, Pt. 2. I commend it to you as a fine example of how to deal with a difficult doctrine in a pastoral manner.
