How Do You Do This?

July 2, 2010

Here’s a neat story from this week at Cannon Beach. On Monday I mentioned that Keep Believing Ministries supplies free copies of our little “gospel book” called An Anchor for the Soul free of charge to prison ministries, military ministries, relief agencies, crisis pregnancy centers, street ministries, rescue missions, and for missionary outreach. In the last ten years we’ve given away 400,000 copies and seen the Lord use it bring thousands of people to faith in Christ. I mentioned that we currently have 20,000 copies in our Book Depot in Chicago.

That led someone in the audience to contact Doug Nichols who founded a mission organization called Action International. He wrote me on Tuesday asking for copies for pastors in the Philippines and for pastors and Christian workers in Zambia. I wrote him back and said we would be delighted to provide the copies free of charge. He wrote again thanking us, and then added, “How are you able to provide such?”

On Wednesday I contacted Doreen Mahlstedt who handles all our requests. She got the shipping information we needed from Doug, and then she contacted Ernie Schulz who oversees the Book Depot.

Yesterday we shipped 1000 copies for pastors in the Philippines and 2000 copies for outreach ministry in Zambia. Doug wrote again to say, “Wow! You folks are fast.”

We’re not always this fast, but we’ve got a great team working to get the books out. We’re happy to partner with Action International by donating the books.

This is what we do.
This is where our ministry started.

We do lots more than this now, but we started Keep Believing four years ago so we could reopen the Anchor Book Depot and supply copies of this gospel book to ministries doing front line work for the Lord.

We still have thousands of copies left in our Book Depot. Is there a way we could assist your ministry?
