Have you ever been to Wolverhampton?

Dear Praying Friends,

Have you ever been to Wolverhampton?
We haven’t either.

If you check Google Maps, you’ll find that Wolverhampton is a suburb of Birmingham, England. It’s a bustling urban area with thousands of people who need the Lord.

We found out recently that we have friends in Wolverhampton that we didn’t know about. Here’s the note we received:

My wife and I have recently planted a small church with 7 people and I just wanted to say thank you for your online sermons which we have found challenging but also encouraging.

For six years the Lord gave me a burden for the West of Wolverhampton and for five years I prayed that someone would start the church but last year God made it clear that my wife and I should do this. It is an area where others have tried for years to start a Christian witness and given up. Please pray for us that as we carry out our role of being disciples that the Lord will build His church and add to our numbers those being saved.

We send our Christian love to you and we pray you will see amazing blessings as you serve the Lord in 2014.

Terry and Margaret

We were very stirred by the courageous faith that led this couple to start a church where others have given up. We don’t know how they found our website, but we’re delighted to be a long-distance resource in the good work they are doing.

So would you pray for Terry and Margaret and the work of Windmill Community Church in Wolverhampton, England? They represent a host of pastors and missionaries and Christian workers who come to the KBM website for inspiration and encouragement.

As we begin 2014, we’re asking God to give us new ways to encourage pastors and to help train the next generation. We love pastors and we’ll do whatever we can to help them. We want to invest in the next generation because the future belongs to the young.

A special thanks to everyone who prayed for us during December. We’re glad to report that our December giving was the best ever. When all the books were balanced and all the bills paid, we finished 2013 $10,000 in the black. That’s totally amazing to us.

We had a record number of visits to the KBM website last year. For the entire year, website traffic increased 15% compared to 2012. During the Thanksgiving-Christmas season, we saw a 20% increase in visits over the year before. On December 21 we had the highest Internet traffic in our history with over 10,000 visits to our website.

Thank you for praying for us, for our family, and for Keep Believing Ministries.

Please let us know how you are doing. We love hearing from you.

God bless you!

Ray and Marlene
