Good Words for Today
We are in God's presence, united with Christ, led by the Spirit, surrounded by angels, enrolled in heaven, accepted by the Father, and forgiven by the blood. Because of Jesus, we live next door to heaven.

A good verse that covers most of life: "You don’t understand now what I am doing, but someday you will" (John 13:7).
If you stop praying, the world will stop bothering you. The great mark of true faith is that we keep praying when it would be easier to quit.
Christ cannot fail. I may struggle, but he cannot fail. I may waver under the attack, but he cannot fail. If Christ is in me and I am in him, no matter how weak I may feel, Christ cannot fail.

Sometimes I think the hardest job God has is getting his children to admit how desperately they need him.

Sometimes God doesn't show us his plan in advance because we wouldn't believe it anyway.

God will let you go where you want to go, but he will bring you back to where he wants you to be.
"But God is faithful" (1 Corinthians 10:13). If victory depends on us, we're sunk. If victory depends on the Lord, we'll come out alright. Here's the good news. The Lord has been faithful to multitudes. He'll be faithful to you too.
Just because you think it's impossible doesn't mean you can't do it. It just means you can't do it on your own. Remember Goliath. God plus David plus one smooth stone brought him down.

Lord, I do not ask to fly like the eagle or to run and not grow weary. I simply ask you to help me walk and not faint. That’s the miracle I need today. Amen.
"All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be" (Psalm 139:16). Does God have a blueprint for your life? Yes. Is there any way you can get a copy? No. Will you trust him anyway? That's the big question.

Sometimes we just need to take the next step and let God take care of everything else.
Too often we say, “I’m waiting for better circumstances.” God says, “Go ahead and speak up. I don’t need good circumstances in order to do my work.”
Hard times are part of God’s severe mercy to his children. They loosen us from our love of the earth and make us long for heaven.
Grace means there is always hope even when we have failed again and again. If you have blown it, there is grace for you. If you haven't blown it, you will sooner or later, and when you do, there will be grace for you when you need it.
