"God of Our Fathers" remains one of the best statements of the spirit that animated the men who declared their independence from England 244 years ago. Here are the words to the second verse: "Thy Love divine hath led us in the past. In this free land by thee our lot is cast. Be thou our ruler, guardian, guide, and stay.
