Good Words for Today: May 1

“If you, Lord, kept a record of sins, Lord, who could stand?” (Psalm 130:3). We can never fix ourselves because we lack the inner resources to solve our own problems. That flies in the face of a host of self-help gurus who say the answer is within us. The Bible says the opposite is true. The problem is within us. The answer lies outside of us.
