Good Words for Today: January 20

Nothing sustains the servants of the Lord in hard times like knowing God’s character. You don’t learn what God is like by going to seminary and memorizing the attributes of God. You get to know God in the darkness of the night, when you feel overwhelmed and burdened and full of fear and uncertainty. You eventually discover that when you feel most alone, God is nearest to you. Get to know the Lord! It’s the key to everything else in life.
