Final Day at Cannon Beach

July 25, 2008

My week at Cannon Beach has zipped right by. Today I speak twice. This morning we are taking questions from the audience. That’s always a fun time because people can ask anything they like—about my messages this week or about a Bible question they have or about the spiritual life or about anything at all. Mark Rice will moderate the session. We told the folks they could either write their questions and give them to me or to Mark or they could ask them in person during the session. So you never know what questions will come up. Tonight I am giving my final message from 1 Corinthians 13.

Between the services I have a luncheon to attend plus I have to do my laundry. That way I’ll be ready to go when we leave for the Portland airport tomorrow morning. I’m flying to Cincinnati where I’ll meet Marlene and then we’re flying together to Allentown, PA where Davis and Kathy Duggins will meet us. On Sunday morning I speak at Berean Bible Fellowship Church in Stroudsburg and then I begin a week of ministry at Pinebrook Bible Conference on Sunday night.

At the moment I’m watching the seagulls on the beach. It’s overcast and cool this morning in Cannon Beach but it looks like we may get some sun this afternoon. Yesterday was gorgeous—no clouds, bright sun, a slight breeze, and temps in the low 70s. Just another day in paradise on the Oregon coast.
