Day 4 at WOLBI

February 3, 2006

10:24 AM A friend just sent me an amazing Anchor for the Lord story:

We have a friend, Richard, from our small group Bible study who is a bagger at Publix grocery store. He speaks to everyone he can about Christ and over a period of time became friendly with a 90+ yr. old sea captain from Norway with an atheist orientation. They had many discussions about salvation, Christ and what happens one minute after we die. The man was curious, but vigorously unconvinced. Richard gave him An Anchor for the Soul, then didn’t see him for a couple of weeks, but saw his daughter at the grocery store who said her father had died, but that the old captain had been “looking for an anchor all his life and had finally found one he could trust.” He went home to the Lord.

6:44 AM Craig Williams blogged about one of my books.
6:35 AM Kirk Cameron, Ray Comfort and Todd Friel have teamed up for a new radio broadcast called The Way of the Master.
6:32 AM Today I teach the final two classes on Galatians, we eat lunch with Larry and Cindi Bollback, and then we head for Albany to fly back to Tupelo.
6:31 AM Yesterday I got a call from a friend in Spokane, Washington. How in the world did he find me? “It was easy,” he said. “I tracked you down by reading your weblog.”

6:28 AM If you are ever in Middlebury, Vermont, check out Fire and Ice Restaurant. We ate there on Wednesday night with Mike and Betsi Calhoun and thoroughly enjoyed our meal, the trip from Schroon Lake, the conversation, and the beautiful Vermont countryside.
6:18 AM An atheist in Chicago is selling his soul on Ebay, sort of.
6:17 AM Here’s a new website for those interested in the church in China.
