Cutting It Straight

Dear Praying Friends,

We’re in the middle of a busy travel season. Last week while Ray was in Florida teaching James at Word of Life Bible Institute, Marlene was in California visiting Mark and Vanessa and getting some special time with Eli and Penny. On Wednesday Ray flies to Jacksonville, Florida to speak at the Cutting It Straight Expository Preaching Conference hosted by Pastor H.B. Charles, Jr. and Shiloh Metropolitan Baptist Church.

Ray and H.B. became friends a decade ago when H.B. was in Los Angeles and we were living in the Chicago area. Ray will be leading two seminars on “Ten Things I’ve Learned in 40 Years of Preaching” and “How to Find Fresh Sermon Illustrations.”

Friday-Sunday we’ll be in Chicago for a KBM board meeting. Ray speaks at the First Baptist Church of Elmhurst on Sunday morning.

On Monday we fly to Asheville, NC for a conference at The Cove sponsored by the American Family Association.
