KBM team with Chinese listeners (faces blurred for security reasons).
Some like-minded friends.
First page of listener responses.

For 19 months (since late March 2012) we have been broadcasting into China through a partnership with Trans World Radio (TWR Global). People find our program in various ways:

Some listen to the radio broadcast.
Some visit the Mandarin website.
Some listen via the smartphone app.
Some download the broadcast and listen later.
Some visit a Mandarin discussion board.
Some read the messages online.
Some get the messages via a smartphone microchip.

How do we measure the impact of our China outreach? That’s always a challenge because we are separated from our listeners by culture and language, and by the fact we are on the opposite side of the world.

Plus it is not always easy (or safe) for Chinese believers to register their support for a Christian program.

I have some good news to share about listener feedback.

Yesterday we received an email from Trans World Radio with 371 specific responses to our “Keep Believing” program in Mandarin. These were written by listeners to the TWR staff in China. They read them, translate them, and then send them along to TWR in the US who sends them along to us.

We thank God that we have such evidence of what he is doing through our outreach in China. Please pray for our friends at TWR in the US and in Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Guam, and the faithful workers spread across Mainland China. Pray also for the Chinese believers who listen to the broadcast, visit the website, use the smartphone app, and visit the Mandarin language discussion boards.

In the next few months we plan to introduce our new “China Resource Center” that will make all our material easily accessible on one Mandarin website. More about that later.

Here are a few responses that give you a flavor of what God is doing through our China outreach. I am passing along the translation just as it came to us. When the listeners mention “Rev. Lui” or “Rev. Lei”, they are talking about the “Chinese Pastor Ray” who takes my sermons and preaches them in his own words in Mandarin.

Read and rejoice with us about what God is doing in China.

A brother deliver a letter to our field staff in Henan for Mandarin “Keep Believing”:
This is exactly the Truth Christians need – to love one another as much as we love ourselves in our daily life.

A sister deliver a letter to our field staff in Henan for Mandarin “Keep Believing”:
While listening to a sermon, I will ask myself if I understand what is being said and if I am willing to be changed.

A believer deliver a letter to our field staff in Heilongjiang for Mandarin “Keep Believing”:
After listening to the program, I understood very clearly. The explanation is very detailed and I remembered the notes very clearly. I hope we can listen to the program every day at any time and place.

A believer deliver a letter to our field staff in Heilongjiang for Mandarin “Keep Believing”:
As what Rev. Lui said, my life is aimless, self-centered and filled with no satisfaction. I pray less and love less. Most of my time is wasted, and I don’t live a godly life. I feel so ashame.

A believer deliver a letter to our field staff in Heilongjiang for Mandarin “Keep Believing”:
The message of ‘Keep Believing’ rightly fits my situation. I have gained a lot of insights. It encourages me to live for the Lord in this hostile generation.

A believer deliver a letter to our field staff in Heilongjiang for Mandarin “Keep Believing”:
After listening to the preaching of “Together with one heart”, I was shocked by its rich content and teaching. This is indeed what our church, the believers and I need.

A sister deliver a letter to our field staff in Jiangxi for Mandarin “Keep Believing””:
Stretch out to touch Jesus. Our meager faith is built up upon the strong powerful Jesus.

A sister deliver a letter to our field staff in Henan for Mandarin “Keep Believing”:
The real message of salvation is to run toward Christ.

A brother deliver a letter to our field staff in Heilongjiang for Mandarin “Keep Believing”:
The program ‘Keep Believing’ is a very practical course. The wording is very clear and language is fluent. Moreover, it is based on the teaching of the Bible. Surely, the program is God’s precious grace

A believer deliver a letter to our field staff in Heilongjiang for Mandarin “Keep Believing”:
Pastor Lui’s preaching offered me very great help. It made me understand the truth. I know more what to do. After being enlightened, I am willing to repent. May the Holy Spirit do the renewing work in me and make my acts pleasing to God.

A sister deliver a letter to our field staff in Henan for Mandarin “Keep Believing”:
Through the program, I understand that there is none righteous, no, not one. People can’t be saved by relying on the power. Thanks to Rev. Lei and your team for the efforts you made to accomplish the work for God’s church. May God bless you wherever you go! God’s blessings be with you! Amen
