9:12 AM One of our favorite Christmas cards came from some friends in Oak Park who sent us a card featuring traditional Chinese paper cutting. Each card is hand-crafted and produced in the Shanxi province of China. The project is sponsored by Evergreen, a Christian organization that provides a wide variety of services for the public benefit of the people of China.
8:07 AM Jim Rutz lists the Top Ten Overlooked Stories of 2005. Check out # 4 which mentions the rapid growth of the house church movement in China. But official opposition continues.
7:58 AM We leave for China in 12 days. Just checked the Beijing weather forecast. It’s a lot colder there than in Tupelo. More like Chicago but without the snow. Time to dig out our cold weather gear. Sounds like some really cold weathermay be on the way for northern China.
