Check Out Our New China Page

March 18, 2014

For the past few months we’ve been working on a major refocusing of our China outreach. Since Mark has been overseeing this project, I asked him to write this update.

When we began broadcasting sermons into China in March 2012, we saw many visits to our Mandarin website, and we received great feedback from listeners within China. The Lord opened the door for us to reach Chinese listeners from all over the world, including countries like Saudi Arabia, Ireland and Australia. We also had the opportunity to meet some Chinese brothers and sisters who faithfully listened via shortwave radio. We’ve been amazed at how God moved through this ministry to encourage and equip our Chinese brothers and sisters to keep believing in Jesus.

Earlier this month we made a significant transition in this ministry. We decided to stop broadcasting into China via shortwave and decided to focus on what we know best, the Internet. Making this change allows us to maintain a worldwide ministry for a tiny fraction of the cost of broadcasting. It also allows us to focus on equipping pastors and church leaders for the Chinese church.

In our original design, the Mandarin website only contained a few sermons at a time. As new broadcasts were added, older ones vanished from the page. Our new design works more like an online resource library, with all our Mandarin material (text and audio) available at the same time.

As God opens the door, we hope to multiply this model in other languages.

Please take a moment to visit www.jianxinzhenli.com. It’s okay if you don’t read Chinese. Let me highlight a few of the changes we’ve made to make the content more accessible:

1. Sorted Tabs – Visitors can now search the site for sermons by verse, topic, series or by date released.

2. Book Links – Right now “An Anchor for the Soul” is translated and available for download. Later this year we’re adding “Man of Honor” and an Advent devotional.

3. Modern Design – The website is designed to be viewed on devices of all sizes without losing any functionality. If you have an Internet connection, you can view our site and download our sermons.

(Google Translate will give you a general sense of what the Mandarin characters mean.)

With these changes we are able to release new sermon series that are specifically targeted to needs within the Chinese community. We will be adding these new series to the China page later this year:

Marriage
Parenting
Genesis 1-11
Man of Honor
An Advent devotional in December

By the end of 2014, we’ll have over 300 separate sermons and devotionals and three books available for download, for free, all in Mandarin.

When people ask us what we’re doing in China, I usually answer with some paraphrase of the words of Paul to Timothy:

“And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.” 2 Tim 2:2

We are taking the truth of God’s Word and giving it away to as many Chinese people as we can so that they can give it away to as many people as possible, for the Glory of God.

We’re doing this now so that in 15-20 years there will be thousands of pastors in China who have never heard of Keep Believing Ministries but who preach the same Gospel, with the same conviction, for their brothers and sisters and their nation and their God.

Here are three ways you can help us right now:

1. We hope you’ll check out www.jianxinzhenli.com so you can see for yourself how much material is already online.

2. We hope you’ll pray for the success of this new China page. Pray that God will use this resource to strengthen the growing Chinese church.

3. We hope you’ll spread the word. If you have Chinese friends, neighbors, co-workers or fellow students, please let them know about this page. We need you to partner with us to get the word out about this online resource library that is free to one and all.

Will you join us in equipping this generation of Chinese believers?
