Carnaval Dress Rehearsal

Tonight I saw something I had never seen before. It started when we went to downtown Santa Cruz with Tom and Janine Throssel and their children plus Tom’s parents Terry and Marlene plus their friends Richard and Janice Cavaliere who came to Bolivia to help with the children during the conference this week.

Like many South American cities, the streets are narrow and crowded, and tonight as we approached the plaza at the center of the city, we discovered that the police had cordoned off the area. We found a parking spot and ate supper at a fine dining establishment called Dumbo’s Restaurant. Best ice cream I’ve had in a long time.
