Anchor in Uganda

African Women with Anchor

This picture comes from a church that meets at Kampala International University in Kampala, Uganda. When we visited the church in February, Pastor Kennedy Kurui gave me this picture. These women had studied together through my book An Anchor for the Soul. The woman in front came to Christ as a result of that study.

We continue to be amazed at how God uses this little “gospel book.” Three weeks ago we began a campaign to raise $70,000 to cover the cost of printing, storing, and shipping another 100,000 copies. I have two pieces of news to report:

1. The books will be delivered next Monday to our Book Depot in Pontiac, IL.
2. We have raised $18,000 so far, which equals 27% of the total needed.

We are grateful to our friends for your prayers and your support. You can find out more information about this project and learn how you can make a gift by clicking on Fifteenth Anniversary Anchor Project.
