Anchor Across America

April 23, 2013

Last Saturday at our KBM board meeting Doreen Mahlstedt shared this map showing where Anchor for the Soul has been distributed since our last printing of 100,000 copies a year ago this month. You can see that we have mailed Anchors to many different states.

Since 2000 we have given away over 600,000 copies of this little “gospel book.” These graphics apply only to the latest printing of 100,000 copies. Here’s a pie graph showing that the vast majority of Anchors go into prisons and jails across the country:

Here’s a breakdown by state:

The top five states in terms of books shipped are:

 1. Texas
 2. Iowa
 3. Michigan
 4. Arizona
 5. Florida

Here’s a portion of a handwritten letter we received from a prisoner in Lyons, Georgia. He writes to let us know that he received Christ as a result of reading “An Anchor for the Soul.”

One year ago we received the latest shipment of 100,000 copies of Anchor. Since then we have shipped out 76,000 copies, leaving us with only 24,000 in our Book Depot in Pontiac, IL. We’re grateful to Steve Oltman and Steve Bury who volunteer their time each week to prepare the boxes for shipping across America.

Each week we receive letters from prisoners who found Christ through reading Anchor. Since we give the books away (and we pay for the shipping), we depend 100% on the gifts of our friends to keep this ministry going. We expect to do another printing in the near future so that we can continue to share the Good News of Jesus through this little “gospel book.” Thank you for your prayers and for your financial support that makes this ministry possible.

If you’d like to make a gift toward the new printing, you can easily do that through our Online Donation page or you can mail a check to Keep Believing Ministries, P.O. Box 257, Elmhurst, IL 60126. (Be sure to mark “Anchor” in the Memo section.)

Please join us in praying that God will use these Anchor books to reach many more men and women for Christ.
