AFR Features “Lessons From My Cancer Journey”

A few weeks ago I recorded a Thanksgiving message for American Family Radio called Lessons From My Cancer Journey.

Here’s a brief snippet:

“The Bible says it is appointed unto man once to die (Hebrews 9:27). That’s one appointment you won’t miss.

My doctor says my outlook for a cure is excellent, but when you are 72, you can’t kid yourself.

I was always going to die.
Death comes to everyone sooner or later.
No one gets off planet Earth alive.”

But the good news is, Jesus knows about our fears and worries and the things that keep us awake at night.

Slowly I have been learning about waiting on the Lord. Still have a long way to go.
