A Note from Uganda

June 15, 2008

This morning I received the following message from a young man in Uganda:

To Dr. Ray
Dear brother in Christ,
I am so glad to tell you how much you have blessed and inspired me. I believe the lord is using you to reach to people in different situations, to people like me. I am 19 years old, I love the Lord, I first heard you preach on our local Christian radio station that I listen to. I heard you on Back to the Bible. I was so blessed, you talked about your website which I have checked out today. I have been so amazed to see how our great God is using you. I have enjoyed reading some of your sermons,.

My desire is to be used by God, I love His Word and I desire teaching it, I know I can’t do this unless I surrender my life completely to Him, and this is my aim. My life is hard with problems and needs but Jesus has given me peace which surpasses all understanding.

I would like to be your friend, you are an inspiration to me and when I listened to you speaking about forgiveness it was God speaking through you.

I love you and I will pray for you, please I also request for your prayers, I want to finish my high school but because of poverty am not at school, pray for me about this.

Greetings to your family, may GOD bless you and keep you.
Your brother in Christ,
Derrick in Uganda, East Africa

Every week we get messages like this that remind us of the amazing power of media plus the Internet to reach people around the world. When we say “our name is our mission,” we mean that we exist to help people to keep believing in Jesus. Our # 1 means of doing that is through the Internet. Everything we do starts with this website. Special thanks to everyone who reads the Keep Believing website, thank you to the 4496 people who currently receive the weekly sermon email, and thank you to those who pray and give so that we can encourage young people like Derrick to stand strong in their faith—in Uganda and in every nation on earth.
