A Letter from Jason

October 8, 2015

Jason

This letter arrived from a 33-year-old prisoner named Jason. He wrote from a New York prison to thank us for An Anchor for the Soul. I love his last sentence:

“Between your book and the Holy Bible my mind is in a better place than my body.”

He said he got a copy of the book for free when “a nice man” came around and gave him a copy. I have no idea who that nice man might be. We have given away over 700,000 copies of Anchor, mostly (though not entirely) to prison ministries across America. We provide the books to ministries who then give them away to the men and women behind bars. The books cost us money, but we give them away to ministries like the one in New York that had a volunteer who cared enough to visit the prison and offer Jason a copy.

A few months ago we ordered a new printing of 100,000 copies of Anchor. I’m happy to announce that we have reached 55% of our goal of raising $70,000 to cover the cost of printing and shipping Anchors across America. In the last five months we’ve donated 29,000 copies of Anchor to prison ministries, military ministries, crisis pregnancy centers, rescue missions, homeless shelters, and other front-line evangelistic ministries.

We need your help to finish this project by the end of October.

Your gift of $75 covers the cost of shipping 100 Anchors to ministries reaching men and women with the Good News of Jesus. Your gift of $750 covers the cost of 1000 Anchors. Your gift of $7500 covers the cost of 10,000 Anchors.

We need your help so we can get more Anchors into the hands of men and women who need to know Jesus.

Would you join us in praying that the remaining funds needed would come in quickly?

Thanks in advance for your help!
