One year ago his wife Jackie was diagnosed with breast cancer. Ronbo will share what God has taught him through his wife’s cancer treatment. 10:40 AM A new book on my ever-growing pile: Pocket History of the Church, by Jeffrey Bingham, published by InterVarsity Press. I met Jeff in August when we were both on the speaking team for Dallas Seminary week at Mt. Hermon Conference Center in California. This little book is a handy guide to 2000 years of Christian history. It’s like one of those “pocket guides” you buy if you’re going to visit Amsterdam or Berlin or New Delhi. Jeff has provided an easy-to-read, inspirational tour of the amazing story of Christianity from the beginning to the present day. 10:38 AM Received some good news about the Legacy Campaign Building Fund. We have just crossed the $2 million mark in total giving to the project. As of today, the total stands at $2,008,000. Thanks to everyone who has given generously to this project. With God’s help, we want to raise the remaining $1.1. million by Thanksgiving 2005. 6:35 AM Have you purchased your tickets for One Incredible Moment yet? 6:34 AM First Watch starts at 5:55 AM on Thursday morning. 6:30 AM Today marks the 63rd anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. Years ago I preached a sermon that told the story of how Mitsuo Fuchida, the Japanese fighter pilot who led the attack, became a Christian after the war. Click here to read the story.
