11:36 PM Wonderful news! David Tyler, who has been serving with the Marines in Iraq, is now back in the States. Here is his email to me:

By the grace of God, I have returned to the US. I can’t thank you enough for your support and prayer, as well as the the support and prayer of the entire church. I’m so excited to be home. Well, Fort Worth is my 2nd home now. As of right now, i’m takin about a week and a half off to get my bills and such in proper order. Since I’m no longer in the sandbox, I can pay them in other ways. Once my break time is up, I’ll be back at work for a week or two and then I’m comin (home) for at LEAST 3-4 weeks. So thank you again and could you thank the church for me as well? I can’t express how happy I was when I stepped off that plane and looked around and saw Texas. But enough of me rambling, I have to go. God bless and Semper Fi, David

We look forward to seeing David at Calvary in a few weeks. And Robert Schuler, also with the Marines in Iraq, should be coming home in just a few days. 12:41 PM Ran across two excellent sermons that you should read: Removing Any Hindrances by Brian Bill, Pontiac Bible Church, Pontiac, IL. Why Do We Baptize Disciples? by Phil Newton, South Woods Baptist Church, Memphis, TN. 10:33 AM Counting down the days … 8 days until the Concert of Prayer for “God Speaks Today” 12 days until the “God Speaks Today” series begins. 23 days until “First Watch” begins. 12:36 PM Today’s entry in the Crosswalk weblog is called Witches Against Bush.
