7:29 PM Today’s entry in the Crosswalk weblog is called Paul Hamm and the Improbable Providence of God. 6:42 PM Two people asked me today if I was doing my century bike ride. The answer is no because that second big project is still only partly. It’s a writing project for Crossway Books that is, ahem, slightly overdue so I am plugging away on it as fast as I can. I did make some progress today. Tomorrow I can’t do the century ride. Maybe Saturday or maybe next week. I had this idea of doing the century ride somehow tied into our 30th anniversary on Sunday—although I definitely did not do any bike riding in Phoenix on August 22, 1974. Phoenix in August is very hot, and all I remember about that day is that it was extremely hot all day, and it was over 90 degrees when we got married that night. I also remember a shuffleboard tournament at the motel that came down to me and my Uncle Russ. Maybe I’ll try to reconstruct that story later this week.
