August 26, 2004

8:50 PM Here is a report from our Greater Love ministry that matches needs with people who can meet those needs. Check the bulletin board in the hallway from the portico to the west wing to see the latest needs—and the answers God has given:

To date, we have been able to meet 16 needs here at Calvary. These needs have ranged from prayer support, 2 air conditioners, clothing needs, TVs and VCRs, furniture, and linens, to 2 computers, a lawnmower and even a new shiny bicycle for a teenage boy. God has also overwhelmed our ministry with many other people willing to serve if called upon. We thank you for donating your items, and time for prayer to this ministry. Stay tuned to the Greater Love board in October as there are some exciting new changes coming in anticipation of the Christmas season. And, as always, if you have any suggestions or time to donate, please just let us know.

11:14 AM Today’s Crosswalk weblog entry is called Buckle Down and Pray. 10:00 AM Attention all Calvary men! First Watch starts exactly four weeks from today—Thursday, September 23. Breakfast will be served in the Dining Room starting at 5:55 AM. That’s right—five minutes before six in the AM. We’ll eat, laugh, talk, and have a good time around the tables, followed by a short Bible study, a time of application, and we’ll be out and on our way by 7 AM guaranteed. Mark it down and plan to be there four weeks from today. Click here for more information. 9:57 AM Thursday Shout-Out to Ricardo Russo in Brazil, and to Jeff and Claudia Eaton, Bob and Penny Thomas, Rodney and Jane Jacob, Teresa Hauber, and to “Baby,” the Schulers beautiful boxer. You’ve got Robert wrapped around your paw.
