How long till this happens in America? Answer: Not as long as we think. 1:23 PM A couple of people have asked about my eyesight after the surgery. I think it’s a little better. Hard to tell because the surgery was intended to reduce the astigmatism, not to impact any residual nearsightedness. We’re talking about incremental gains at this point, not dramatic changes. I think I’m seeing things a bit less blurry than before, which helps. The vision in my left eye is 20/25 with a little remaining astigmatism, 20/50 in my right eye with some astigmatism. It occurred to me after the surgery that what I really want is crystal-clear vision, which probably won’t happen until I get to heaven. Until then, I can see pretty well, less than perfect, but I don’t wear glasses except to read, so I don’t have anything to complain about.
