11:01 PM Congratulations to Lois Catrambone who on Saturday was honored as one of two “Alumni of the Year” at Concordia University in River Forest, IL. 10:51 PM One benefit of our recent trips: Marlene and I had a chance to do some reading. She read “Cry, the Beloved Country” by Alan Paton, and liked it so much that I decided to read it myself. I’m about 75% through the book, and find it completely engrossing. Great books are timeless. They speak truth across generations. “Cry, the Beloved Country” is a truly great book. 10:50 PM Today’s entry in the Crosswalk weblog is called Alan Keyes Comes to Illinois.
