5:19 PM Today’s entry in the Crosswalk weblog is called Traveling Light. 5:03 PM Vern Henriksen tells me that we have collected $18,000 for Hurricane Katrina relief. I also got a call from Harvest House Publishers telling me that they have moved up the publication date of “Why Is This Happening to Me?” (the retitled version of The God You Can Trust) from January to October 15 in order to offer spiritual help to the hurricane victims. 5:01 PM Right now I am buried under a pile of emails. I have been trying to write ten emails every time I sit down at the computer and at the moment, I still have 88 messages in my Inbox. I hope to get caught up in the next day or so. We are very grateful for the many expressions of love from friends here at Calvary and in many other places. 5:00 PM 1863 miles. A friend said I would probably hit 2000 miles before we move south in a few weeks. I hope so. Fall in Chicago is my favorite time of the year. This is splendid bike riding weather.
